Delivery Information
Nationwide South Africa Sea Freight & Local Courier Updated June 2026
Please read before ordering: Many of our products are imported via sea freight from overseas and are not standard courier deliveries. Estimated shipping timelines are 5–8 weeks from payment confirmation. We are fully transparent about this upfront so you can plan accordingly.
Nationwide Delivery Across South Africa

At Bodykit.co.za, we supply premium automotive upgrade products to customers nationwide across South Africa — from Gauteng to the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape, and beyond.

Many of our products — especially facelift conversion kits, body kits, dashboards, bumpers, steering wheels, and specialty automotive parts — are sourced internationally and shipped via sea freight from China to South Africa. This is important to understand before placing an order, as these are not standard next-day or same-week courier deliveries.

Why sea freight? Large automotive components such as body kits, bumpers, and dashboards are bulky, heavy, and high-value. Sea freight is the safest and most cost-effective method to import these products while maintaining quality and competitive pricing.

Imported Special Order Items

Certain premium products are imported on order and shipped via sea freight from China to South Africa. The estimated timeline for these items is broken down as follows:

Production / Supplier Preparation
3–7 working days — supplier confirms stock, prepares, quality checks, and packages your order for export.
Sea Freight Transit
25–40 days — your shipment travels by vessel from China to a South African port (Durban or Cape Town).
Port Clearance / Customs / Inland Logistics
7–14 working days — clearing agents process customs documentation, duties are settled, and cargo is released for inland delivery.
Final Local Delivery to You
1–5 working days — local courier collection and delivery to your door once cleared.
5–8
Weeks
Total estimated ETA: Approximately 5–8 weeks from payment confirmation to arrival in South Africa. Large or complex shipments may occasionally take longer depending on vessel schedules, port conditions, and customs processing.

Please note: These timelines are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. International shipping involves multiple parties and variables outside our direct control. We will keep you informed throughout the process.

In-Stock South African Items

Products that are already available and held locally in South Africa are dispatched significantly faster. Where a product is in local stock, you can expect the following:

Processing time
  • Order verification: same day
  • Picking & packing: 1–2 working days
  • Courier collection: 1–3 working days
Delivery time
  • Gauteng: 1–2 working days
  • Major cities: 2–3 working days
  • Remote areas: 3–5 working days

Local stock availability is indicated on the product listing where applicable. If you are unsure whether an item is locally held or imported, please contact us before ordering.

Oversized Products & Conversion Kits

The following product categories require special freight handling and packaging due to their size, weight, and fragility. This may affect the ETA and logistics arrangement compared to standard parcel deliveries:

Full body kits
Front & rear bumpers
Facelift conversion kits
Dashboards
Large exterior panels
Oversized accessories

Because these items are bulky and high-value, additional logistics planning may be required, including the use of freight forwarding agents, pallet shipments, or dedicated courier arrangements upon arrival. We will advise you on the delivery method applicable to your specific order.

Tracking & Shipping Updates

We keep customers informed throughout the shipping journey. The milestones at which you may receive updates are:

1
Order & payment confirmed
2
Supplier dispatch
3
Vessel departure
4
SA port arrival
5
Customs clearance
6
Local courier dispatch

For local courier dispatch, a tracking number will be provided once the shipment has been collected. For imported special-order items, updates are provided at key milestones as above. Not all milestones may apply to every shipment depending on logistics arrangements.

If you have not received an update and are concerned about your order status, please contact us via WhatsApp on 061 583 7323 and we will provide a progress report.

Delays & Disruptions Beyond Our Control

International shipping involves multiple parties, ports, and logistics providers. While we work hard to provide accurate ETAs and monitor shipments closely, delays can occasionally occur due to circumstances outside our control:

Port & freight factors
  • Port congestion
  • Vessel schedule changes
  • Shipping line delays
  • Weather disruptions at sea
Administrative factors
  • Customs examinations
  • Public holidays (SA & China)
  • Inland freight handling delays
  • Government or regulatory action

Shipping timelines are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. We will communicate any known delays as soon as we become aware of them and work to minimise disruption to your order.

Important Customer Notice

Because many of our products are special-order imported items, customers are encouraged to place orders only if they are comfortable with the estimated shipping timelines outlined on this page.

Please do not place an order if you require delivery within a short, fixed timeframe. Once a special-order import has been initiated with a supplier, orders cannot be cancelled mid-process. We encourage you to contact us first if you have any questions about timelines for a specific product.

We prioritise full transparency and provide progress updates throughout the process. Our goal is to ensure that every customer receives their order in excellent condition, even if it takes a little longer to arrive than a local purchase would.
